I know I’m a little bit late, but Happy Belated Valentine’s Day to all of you! And a big thanks to openclipart.org for the contributions their talented artists make. I love this vibrant, whimsical heart.
Wasn’t last week’s post kind of heavy? Well, you’re not alone in thinking so. I couldn’t bear to write a serious post this week, at least not yet. We all need to lighten up – to take a break.
So there’s been a change of plans. I can do that, you know. I am “The Owl.” Rather than present part two of my plastic series, I’m sharing a resource page, which contains information on products and websites that support a healthier planet. It’s a work in progress and will grow and evolve as I learn about more organizations, books, and products that reflect a desire to reduce our footprint on the environment.
I must say that it’s been heartening to find so many innovative companies along with informative websites. I spent innumerable hours exploring most of these resources, and with so many new packaging and product options available, I’m feeling optimistic about the future.
So take heart, and climb on board! Let’s all do our part to change the current course we’re on but one we’re not doomed to follow. From cardboard containers made of recycled paper intended for personal care products to bamboo toothbrushes, I see the glimmer of opportunity.
Just in case you missed the link above, here it is again, or simply click on the resource guide in the menu.
