Fading Rose

What's up with this haiku? Is the fading rose a flower or a person? It's a mystery. And I'm not too keen on solving it for you. But just so you know, the fading rose is doing much better since she first wrote this poem. There. That was probably too much information. Have fun figuring this one out!
Chatter breaks silence.
Voices screeching broken beats,
the fading rose pales.
